This September, our apprentice Rangers have been on the frontlines of conservation and (with guidance and a final polish from Eugene), documenting their experiences in the September PNHF Newsletter that you can read here:

Through their eyes, you’ll read about the rescues they’ve undertaken and the ongoing challenges in our fight against snares.
One of the rescues involved a Side-striped Jackal trapped in a snare near town. Thanks to quick action, the team freed the jackal and returned it to safety.
We also responded to an emergency call about a giraffe severely injured by a snare. The PNHF team, along with local wildlife veterinarians, tracked down and caught the giraffe, then treated the wound. We also removed over 80 snares from the area, giving the giraffe a fighting chance at recovery.
The Battle Against Snares
Snares continue to be a devastating threat, indiscriminately trapping animals.
In September alone, our team removed 507 snares. The battle against these traps is far from over, but with your help, we can continue making progress.
How You Can Help:
Donate to Our Wildlife Tracking Collars Fundraiser: We’re raising funds to purchase collars for monitoring endangered species. You can support this vital project at our Wildlife Tracking Collars Fundraiser page on our website here or on Global Giving here.
Purchase PNHF Merchandise: Every item you buy from our online store directly funds our work in the field. Check out our collection at PNHF Merchandise here.
Volunteer: Your Hands on Support of PNHF in our Snare Sweeps and Wildlife rescues is what helps most. Volunteer now to make a real difference in animals lives, and create unforgettable memories during a 2-week to 3-month volunteer experience!
The efforts of our apprentices, alongside Eugene’s leadership, continue to make a real impact, but we need your support to keep going. Your donations and purchases are critical in helping us protect and save more wildlife.
Thank you for being part of our conservation journey.
Warm regards,
The PNHF Team
